This is such
a kind of question that has been alluring me ever since I came to know about
the terms Celebs and being their Fans. I mean is there any limit or extent
defined for loving your favorite celebs? I always tried finding out the extent of
loving a celeb but to my surprise whenever I try to decide this is the limit by
observing a fan, I always find myself observing another one who will just knock
off the limit I concluded and that too with an ease till I met this guy on
Twitter, Prathamesh Avachare {@onlyprathamesh}.
Why
I am writing of this guy? Well in this last one decade of my research and
observation, this is the guy who has actually shown me what exactly you mean by
being a Fan or an Admirer of a celebrity. In general, I have seen the majority cases
like this – girls being crazy fans of male celebs while the boys being the same
for female celebs (I am talking about majority) and now the majority of these
will love their celeb due to their physical build-up, hotness or coolness
and/or sex appeal which to me is kind of infatuation (Yaa! same has happened to
me like millions of times). Now instead of murmuring much let’s get to the
point. Why this boy?
Let me first
tell you about the boy - Prathamesh Avachare who is just 18, perusing a
degree in Computer Engineering, a good pencil sketch artist (I need a sketch
too man! :P) and of course a nice guy to talk to. He is a big (& literally
BIG) fan of the heartthrob and future
Captain of Indian Cricket team, Virat Kohli. Prathamesh runs a fan club on Twitter which is dedicated
to Virat Kohli and his fans – @imVkohliFanClub.
Now
it’s not that I have come across a fan club for the 1st time; but
what makes me think about this guy is his devotion. Well as usual I tried to
test him (like I always do with others) by asking him some silly questions and
unlike majority he answered them with such a nice and elegant way that has now
made me his fan actually (Lucky Guy!). I don’t want to disclose those questions
here but trust me those were related to Virat Kohli and his personal life and
the way Prathamesh answered is the
actual Final Winning Goal he did to win my respect also (Damn Lucky you are! :P).
Prathamesh adores and admires Virat Kohli without any
expectations while considering the need of Virat to have & enjoy Virat’s
OWN Personal Life; something I think fans
never accept which disappoint me to a great extent. He has been in LOVE with
Virat ever since Virat won the U-19 world cup and this year he got a chance to
meet his idol and that was the day he decided to come up with a fan club for
Virat after getting impressed from Virat’s simplicity, serenity and down to
earth attitude on 11th of August this year.
Here are some of the achievements
Prathamesh has been able to accomplish with @imVkohliFanClub but the major 6 as per my
point of view are -
1. Prathamesh successfully trended
not one but 4 topics of Virat at National front - #VK18FanClub, #ArjunaVirat,
#ViratAt5, & #HappyBirthdayVirat in these 4
months.
2. On some special occasions on Virat’s life, he does not hesitate providing
fans with gifts from his pocket or with some sponsors helps which includes iPad
mini (why not me..lolz), Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, Virat Signed Mini Bats,
Posters, Tees and many more to come; as promised by Prathamesh to Virat’s fans.
3. He has collected many personal memorabilia and
autographs from celebrities including Virat Kohli for the VK 18 Fan
Club™ (@imVkohliFanClub) and of course, the fans.
4. In mere 4-5 months, Prathamesh
with his devotion to this fan club and Virat Kohli have been able to attract around
2000 fans.
5. Moreover the activities for
fans like ‘Fans
Of The Day’ & ‘Fans Of The Week’ are organized in VK 18 Fan Club™.
6. The biggest one is the fact that Prathamesh has himself met the champ, Virat Kohli in
real life and that is for me the highest point since now he knows the man whom
he adore personally and closely and hence will not provide some fake impression
of Virat to the fans.
I know you
all must be surprised since praises from my side are rare to come but this boy Prathamesh has earned it
from me and when I am saying that, I literally meant that since he has actually
EARNED this respect from not only me but I am sure from all Virat Kohli fans.
Now I am pretty excited to know
what Prathamesh is carrying in his bag for the next year. So let us all stay
tuned and wish him lots of success. And yes, for me now the True & New
Extent of Loving your celeb is the name ‘Prathamesh Avachare’; unique name by
the way :)
